which off road bike? kdx 200 or a 250 thumper

Im getting in to off road dirt bikes my brother has a drz 400 and I am selling my 400ex. i was thinking about a kdx 200 but dont know anything about 2 strokes (power band, jetting.......) what should I do? im 6' 185 lbs. :think: :think: :think:

Get the KDX, I am the same size as you and the KDX hauls me around great. There is nothing special about the jetting or anything that differs from other bikes. The power band doesnt hit hard like a motocross bike but you can feel it when it comes into the power band. There is nothing special about 2 strokes you have to know besides basic bike maintenance. I would opt for the KDX if i were you. For a person our size it feels very good, ie: the reach to the ground and handlebars, the erogornomics are really comfortable.

I love the 200 strokes. I just bought a brand new one, and in 2 yrs if the 200s are around, thats gona be my next bike. they are woods weapons!
