i have an xr70 and want to change my oil and 2 people have given me oil and i dont think either is right, but lets say i really wanted to ride and cant get any money, which should i go with 5W30 or 10W40.

What oil does the manual call for? Use the 10-40 in warmer weather. 5-30 in cooler weather. I don't think either will hurt it.

No, mixing oils is not a great idea as the additive packages cold be incompatible. Using either oil will be more than most people do for those little bikes.

additives might not mix but yes it weights do work that way.

Point I was trying to make is sorta like what patman said. even changing oil in the 70 is way more than most people do on that platform. most just run it til its dry and making noise and then refill. those motors are fairly bulletproof. any oil will do really.

ya but if you wanna keep your bike in good cond. changing the oil every 20 hours or so is a good idea, and do not mix oils, you shouldn't do it in cars & same goes for bikes.
