I also wish I could have been there, but I had to work. I might not respond to a lot of post but when I have a little extra time I like to lurk a lot. SO I managed to make the ride today! I couldn't find anyone willing so I loaded up and went anyways. I decided White Cloud sounded fun so I gave it a try. When I got there I met a couple of other KTM riders in the parking lot getting ready for the ride, so I tagged along. Their names were John and Gary and they were from some place called Muskegon. You guys were right the trail was awesome, the first two miles had plenty of water some with ice on top and some with ice in the bottom, there were also a couple of long water holes with chunks of floaty ice. I'm not sure what was funnier the floaty ice or the water with ice underneath it. There was a couple of times my back-end tried to pass my front end, go figure. ( I haven't studded my tires yet ) As soon as you crossed the paved road, the ice was almost all gone, but there was still plenty of water holes. When we got to the top of the trail the Muskegonites took the short cut back and I pressed on to the dirt road that leads to Nichols lake. It rained last nite so when you were out in front you had a nice clean trail, but you could see shredded wood when ever you came up to a log crossing. What really surprised me is that I only met one four wheeler on the way back. Gary and John waited in the parking area to make sure I made it out OK, which was a nice gesture. But I really figured that there would be other riders there today, maybe they went to Evart? OH yeah on last thing anyone have an extra radiator shroud for the right side of a 02 KTM 250 EXC black preferable? I didn't even fall down but some how I managed to break my right shroud into pieces. I don't even know where and when it happened. I think that plastic must be more brittle when its cold. Hope to see you on the trail, DT
