why did my post get moved

we just purchased a YZ85. My son is 12 and had a Honda XR85. The YZ is a 2003. We were told it is ok to use Pennzoil 10-40 in the crank case. I was told by Yamaha not to use it. What advise do you have? It has a JM suspension, Tag Bars, and Rentoil sprockrts and chain. I grew up on brikes, but that was long ago. My last bike was a 1979 CR250. We live in the Clear Lake area of Texas. I will continue to need advise. Thanks, Tim

motor oil is fine as long as it doesnt contain friction modifiers(extended life oils contain these)

A great economical 2 or 4 stroke oil is Chevron Delo 400. It is a Diesel semi-synthetic motor oil that can be purchased at Wal Mart.
