Why does the rear end of my bike always step out in turns?

Can someone please tell me why I have so much trouble with turning??

I ride a 2001 Honda CR250 and every turn I try to take the bike takes the widest arc around the turn no matter how much steering input I use and if I do get it to turn where I tell it to then the rear end trys to pass me. Im getting really tired of fighting this thing and spending so much time on the ground. Does anyone have any Ideas?

here's a little technique I use----- say you are going around a right turn. sit as far up the seat as you can, and push on the outward foot peg(it should be the left one going around a right turn). Yes, it will still slide, but you should get used to sliding.


EDIT- it could also be suspension set up, and throttle response, but I am not going to go there.
