I have a buddy who just bought a '02 KTM 250 EXC. It comes with a NGK BR8 ECM. The jetting is rich and we dont want to spend $13.00 a plug for these while dialing it in. What do we do? Thanks guys. ---------Mike

Go to your local auto parts and ask them to order you NGK stock number 3130 which is the BR8EG (fine wire) plug which runs about 3.20 each or get the NGK BR8ES (standard) plug for about $1.15 each.

If you switch to the above plug, make sure you get the new rubber dirt protection boot from your KTM dealer as the factory booty one won't work keeping the dirt out if you switch plugs. I believe the new booty is about $2.50.

I have been running the NGK 3130 plug for one year and haven't had a single problem in my '00 KTM250exc.
