You can really appreciate the height of that jump from that shot. It is amazing what these freestyle guys are doing these days. The double back flip was pretty sick but the cliffhanger back flip just blew my mind. It makes you wonder just how far the sport can actually go.

If I remember right Rebilas was an Navy photog. His work has been amazing from the first time I saw it on sportsshooter. You can enter your e-mail to be notified of his updates, I'm sure you will be inspired.

You'll notice in my bio on smugmug I mention a second place in the monthly sportsshooter contest as the one out of all my awards that means the most to me. He was runner up in the 2005 Sportsshooter Photographer of the Year...that's no easy feat and puts me to shame. Your competing with Sports Illustrated, Sporting News and New York Times, photogs that contest just to name a few.

On a side note I'm a senior member and can sponsor people if anybody is interested in joining. I will tell you that it is not easy though, even after a member gives you the thumbs up you still have to be approved by them. I had one guy that I thought was OK and they turned him down. My username is chrisjennings just follow the steps and I'll look over what you got, I think you need to submit 10 photos, but I' not sure.

I just looked through the rest of those...1, 2, 6, and 9 are freakin awsome shots.

1 because it shows not only how big the jump is but how big the event is with helicoptes and all the lights

2 because it's Collin McRea losing the rally race and travis winning in one shot. Being in the right spot for that was just pure luck, getting the exposure, DOF, and all the other things right though is pure skill.

6 was probably taken during practice and that is more than likley Mark standing down there firing the remote.

9 needs no explenation.
