I've never seen so many middle fingers thrown at a cameraman!

Did you notice the finger guy's bike number? Who do we know that runs number 355? I know, MxBundy. Must have been him in his early days.

I can imagine I might be upset if I was struggling with a bike and there was someone filming rather than helping.

89R...didn't you have spectators help a little too much before?

That was worth my 15 min of non productive time. How fast was #122 at the six days?

You mean the Elsinore GP?? Yep I did.

Some of that video looks like Soboba the year it rained so hard. I got my CR250 stuck in the mud so bad it took four other riders and one very big Indian to pull it out. Totally smoked my clutch. There were so many smoking two smokes in the canyons you couldn't breathe much less see where you were going. :bang:

Giovanni Sala is a really cool dude. I had the good fortune to attend a WEC round in Northern Ontario, Canada a few years ago (I think it was 2008 or 2009). They had set up one special in a big sand pit and there was a pretty gnarly hill with exposed rock face that was giving the riders fits. Giovanni Sala was there spectating - this was in June or July - and he was in a t-shirt, shorts and flip flops. One guy got stuck half way up the hill and was obviously just spent. Giovanni was nearby and all of a sudden he jumped out from the crowd. He rolled the guy's bike back down the hill, hopped on, and rode it to the top in his flip flops. Of course everyone cheered like crazy.

That was an awesome moment.

Great story, Eel!

Oh, and thanks for the awesome vid.

However, I am hoping that day-glo pink riding gear never makes a comeback, lol.

Ha ha. I found video of it! It was 2007. I need to edit my post - he didn't have a t-shirt on after all.

Great vids Eel. Thanks for sharing.

Gomer. I'll tell that story in another thread. Don't want to hijack Eels thread.

That had to be a 1991 production. I would recognize that KTM green seat, red frame combo anywhere
