I installed the FabTech fork shim kit on my 01 KTM200EXC. The difference in plushness was amazing... for about the first 100 miles. For the last 100 miles I find that the forks are pumping up after about 10 minutes of hard riding and require bleeding via the air screw in the fork cap. I am fairly sure this condition has nothing to do with the kit but rather the installation or general wear. Unfortunately it did not occur to me to bleed one fork tube at
a time to see if it is only one or both behaving in this way. It is my
recollection that only one fork leg makes a hiss when the screw is backed out. I'm wondering if air is being sucked into the fork when it cools down and then expands with the heat (which also seals off the point at which it is entering.) But that might be stretching things. Also, I applied some light grease in the bottom of the outer fork tube behind the dust seals . I don't know if this is recommended or not. It seemed like a good idea at the time. Could this have compromised the fork seals?

Sorry for rambling but I would appreciate any thoughts on this.

Cheers!
