I have put handguards on my wr250 and the ball on the clutch lever end rubs a bit on the handguard bar assembly. I have moved the lever over as far as I can on the handlebar, I am now considering whether to just cut the ball off at the end of the lever or not, is this a good/bad idea..? Is this normal or do most handguard mounts fit perfectly ?

thanks

Most handguards require some sacrifice for lever length, position, etc. The kTm's are great because of the short levers, but other bikes will have interference issues with most handguards. I've seen many people cut the ball off the end of the lever to clear the guard. My best advice is to experement with it until you find positions you like, or maybe look into a shorter, aftermarket lever. Nice thing about the guards, if you do spring for an aftermarket lever, you won't likely break it near as fast as the unguarded stock one!

Cut the ball off with a hacksaw and then file off the rough edges.  You won't even notice it.
