Hi Does anyone know how to transpose mikuni jets into keihin jets.
I have taken the mikuni TMX off my bike and put on a Kiehin PJ that was on a 1998 RMX both 38mm. the mikuni jetting for my 360 was 390 main and 35 idle jet , 4.5 slide . I live in Queensland Australia so the rec jetting is a little leaner than standard as the temps are warmer here. the keihin jetting on the RMX was 160 main and 60 idle jet. which is ball park up on top but way to rich in the idle curcuit .I have gone down to a 40 idle jet which is better.
I assume the main jets differ in the way they are measured which is why they carry differant numbers. the idle jets seem to carry the same numbers for both carbs .
any input welcome
