Can you use an OEM wrist pin bearing with a Wiseco piston kit? Are the specs the same? I got an OEM, because there was no Wiseco bearing available from the same place that I got all the other items. Did not want to make a 1 part order from another vendor. Now bad thoughts creep into my head. The top end is assembled (engine currently on the bench).

Thanks -

I have a 2003 RM250 and use WIESCO top end kits. I have always used OEM wrist pin bearings because it's the only thing that doesn't come in the kit. No fit or finish issues. My last top end went a year and still had 210 lbs of compression. I just changed it for G.P.

What part of Maryland are you in? I'm in southern MD.

Thanks for the reply.

I'm in northern Harford County near the PA line. Work in DC.

Mate, I'm in Australia and when I purchase a wiseco piston/ring kit, they come with OEM wristpin, so that should answer your Q.

Do the majority of my riding at Paragon in Hazleton, PA. - About 1.5 hours away or Blue Diamond Park about an hour away. Looks like your club has worked out some places to ride.
