Is there a problem with flipping the front sprocket to allow more clearance for an x-ring chain? The teeth are offset to one side more than the other so the chain doesn't hit the case. This is on a cr 250.

yes front sprockets u can flip round like the back 1, u will need to get a new 1 around 10-20 pounds, smaller faster off the start and bigger top end. good luck

Are you sure its hitting the case and not the chain guide. You can shave a littile of the piece if it unbolts but I wouldn't ride with out it .
