My manual says to use "01" oil in the forks. Is there a conversion to like a 10 or 15 weight oil? I bought some "01" and man it was expensive...$25.30 with tax :yikes:
It seems kinda thin thats why I ask. The dude behind the counter say it's the only kind for my bike..(he looked over at the manual in my hand) He said I can adjust the oil height to change how the fork acted at the last part of the stroke.

I searched the threads but I failed to find anything specfic for "01" oils...

Any help will be great,

"01" is generally considered to be a 5wt oil.

Not sure about the weight of the oils but "01" was designed to be used with 98 through 04 YZ's and WR's. Unsure of all the changes in the forks but Yamaha recommends the "S1" for 05 and newer YZ's and WR's. I use the "S1" in the front forks and shock on my 05 yz250. My kx500 runs the "01" in the rear shock. I would stick with the "01" fluid for your bike.
