My friends 1996 yz125, he rebuilt the carb and flipped the reeds over?? Now the bike starts with dry plug, but floods out right away. Puking fuel out and leaving the plug drenched. Any Idea's
From what I've seen most reeds are made with a slight curvature in them to help them seal tightly against the reed block, they are made to go one way. Maybe since he flipped them over, there is gap between the reed petals and the sealing surface on the reed block. Also if the screws holding the reeds to the reed block were overtightened I would think this would cause the same symptoms.
Thanks for the info, seems like the place to start is the reeds. Will do some more bakground as to the original problem before he started working on it.
