YZ 250 shorty and noise

hi every one here is my story i recently purchased a yz 250 with an fmf sst pipe and shorty silencer and i just put my first weekends worth of riding on it at my cabin and i wanted to take it off my property but once i hit state land i would need a different muffler but when i was riding my new bike it didn't seem all that much louder then my IT 175 just that the sound is higher and at a different pitch. i was looking at a sparky sparkarrester ? and i was wondering would this be enough to pass the sound test and make me legal ? or am i gonna have to buy a whole new muffler for my bike ? thanks

A fresh repack on the silencer will help, but since you will be riding it off road, I would invest in a FMF Q S/A silencer. They are very quiet and they don't hurt the power.
