buy new piston and rings, all gaskets, crank bearings, crank seals and possibly some clutch plates. start with these things and you wont have to trouble shoot or second guess what could be wrong.
Geesh why not just get a new YZ85 and be done with it? :laugh:
Pull the side cover and inspect the clutch assy and see if it is binding anywhere, next pull the head and inspect the bore then pull the cylinder if that's not it and see if the rod moves,... from there it starts to get more involved.
