i traded for an older yz125. im trying to find out what year it is. which number do i need to use to id it for sure? and where on the bike are they at? are there any web sites anyone can recomend with yz info?

Find the 17 digit VIN number on the frame and look at the 10th digit if the 10th digit is:

B=81
C=82
D=83
E=84
F=85
G=86
H=87
J=88
K=89
L=90
M=91
N=92
P=93
R=94
S=95
T=96
V=97
W=98
X=99
Y=00
1=01
2=02
3=03
4=04

thank you that help out a bunch. this is nmy first yz i have had several it's and lots of atv. this a new monster to me. it needs some work but runs good.
