So on my 04 YZ, my brakes just stopped working after I let the bike sit for a few weeks. I washed it before it went away. I tried to bleed and bleed and bleed but nothing. The piston wont move at all. Is there any chance if i take the caliper off and take the pads out I can get the piston to move and get some brakes? I want to run a hare scramble sat.

And if so can someone exaplain how to do that

Do not let the pistons fall out of the caliper. You should be able to push the pistons back in by hand. They may be worn to the point they are hanging out too far? If the pad has worn enough, and you filled the reservoir because the fluid level seemed low, now you will need to remove the cap and excess fluid, before the piston can go back. Vintage Bob
