Hey guys, I am going to be looking to buy a new dirtbike in a few months and I really like Yamaha but I dont want anything off of their TT-R line of bikes. So that just leaves the YZ125 I guess. I am about 5'11" 15 years old and I am planning on doind a lot of off roading, desert mostly and when I get better I want to race MX. Does anyone have anything to say about the YZ125? Are they good bikes? Would I be able to handle one? Right now I am fixing up a GT80F and by 2 or 3 months I am sure I will outgrow the power of it.

Thanks,
Jeff

Actually, What do you guys think the best bike for the value is between the
YZ125
KX125
RM125
CR125R
What bike would be the best for what I want to do and what bike is best for its value?

Thanks,
Jeff

Go Blue!!! They are good bikes especially for what you want to do with it. The suzukis come badly jetted from the factory, the hondas handle great but are not so fast but the yamaha is a great all around bike.

YZ 125 with a 9oz flywheel makes a great offroad motor if you're under 140 lbs...go one tooth smaller on the countershaft sprocket, and you're good to go...but you didn't tell us your weight. A KDX has more torque for offroad, but when you get serious about MX, you'll want to get an MX bike. If you got a clean used KDX and had fun with it for a couple of years, it'll still likely sell for a good price. By that time you may have filled out more and be ready for a 250 MX.
