That looks really nice -- carbon fiber engine mounts, yeah? I take it thats a wr200 motor with a yz125 frame you've modified? Must be a fun ride -- great job on that.

cheers guys

yeah there carbon head mounts,, theres quite a bit of carbon on it ,, simply because i have a friend who does carbon laminating for a formula 1 race team.

its a 96 wr200 motor in a 2001 yz125 frame

wr426 suspension
yzf250 wheels

aluminium tank and Ti subframe.

its taken about 6 months to build.
great fun to ride,,feels very nimble.

i'll let you know how (or if) it survives its first race :yikes:

Sweet bike! Raced a 125 in the woods for years, and always thought a 200 motor would be the best of all worlds. KTM needs some competition!

I'm impressed. Definitely not your average hack job.

If it rides half as nice as it looks you will have a lot of fun on it. Enjoy!

there wr 426 forks sprung for my wieght,, seems to handle pretty good so far, also has a WER steering damper which probably helps

Very nicely done. Question, why the aluminium tank?

ive heard the reason people use ally tanks is cus it keeps the fuel cold.

the main reason for me tho is. i just love the look of the ally tanks.
and i managed to get a good deal on three of them [£100 for 2x standard and 1x oversize].
as i built the bike from bits,,[mainly from ****],, i was able to get some real bargains,, for instance a new Ti subframe for around £60

Marvelous! I wish my 2000 kx 125 could end up looking like that. Used bikes polished, painted, and trimmed up like that always look better than brand new! Good job man.

Not sure what the currency onversion is but I like the tank it was just unusual considering everything is plastic nowadays.
