What years of yz250 between 96-01 had the white airboxes? I am going to put the yz250 airbox and side panels onto my yz426. It will not only save about 1.5lbs, but it will also look really damn cool. Does anyone have a yz250 seat, white sidepanels, or airbox that they have laying around that they would like to get rid of for real cheap to a fellow DRN'er?

I think the white airbox was on the bike in 2000-2001. The airbox on the 1997-1998 is black. The box is basically the same, except color. The intake boot changed on the bikes when they went to the newer motor.

yz king, it was the '00 & '01 with the white air box. I've got one, however, I think I'll need to hang on to it, ... trying to sell my '00 and I put a new black box on. I know someone is going to think it's an '99 because of the box.

Will the 250 box bolt up to the subframe of your 426? I always liked the look of the 4 strokes with the hand holds in the side plates.

The 96-01 yz250 airboxes will bolt up to the 426 subframe, but the yz250 side panels must also be used. Why do this? It saves as much weight as a DSP full carbon fiber airbox! Does anyone happen to have an old yz250 seat. All I really need is the seat pan, but the whole thing will do.
