I had some serious starting problems off and on with the bike and now it will not start at all just spudders and backfires occasionally. Broke down and took it to my local shop and gave him $75 to go through and figure out the problem. He says it has weak spark but that there is no way to be certain if it is the cdi box or stator. He is 90% sure its the stator not creating enough power to make the cdi box's timing curve right. It is a hard call but I am just gonna let him do it. He claims he is confident enough that if its not the stator, he will eat the cost of the cdi box. Just wondered if anybody has had similar issues and the resolution.
