I've got a yz250 03, vforce, dep, using 98 octane pump gas.
I have just rebuilt the engine, new crankshaft, mains and seals and an eric gorr 265 barrell, stock head. My jetting is 48 pilot n3ew needle 2nd slot and 182 main, air screw 2 turns out running at sea level in the UK, this is the jetting i ran before the rebuild. The bike pulls clean and hard from the bottom right through to the top the problem is that it pings when hot on idle and deceleration. Sounds to me like a lean condition but the thing is it gets worse as the engine gets hot. Can anyone advise me on how the jetting should change between a 250 and a 265 or what else might cause the problem?

You should have to re-jet leaner as it will draw more fuel. I just ran my 265 today for the first time. The jetting got leaner on the idle I need more time and space to check the rest of the jetting though.
