Starting Yz426fm

I have a yz426fm. When starting cold i pull the choke and open the throttle once and starts first try. I let it idle and for a min. or two and push the choke in. Runs great!! I am at 4000 feet and it make her a little rich but makes it nice to ride for trails but if you need the power just get on her once or twice and get to tem. and gains a lot of power. like i can pull a wheele in fith with a full tank of fuel and way faster then any bike I have ride with or rode. and I never use the hot start unless I drop it. But most the time she is still running waiting for me to pick her up.
All I can say is take the time and learn your bike. I like a bike, I don't haft to worry about my friends starting or taking. and it is always fun to let them try to start it and they can't. you start it in one kick :nener:

I think I paid $110 for the 2003 YZ450 exhaust cam from North County Yamaha in San Diego. No way would I go back to that horrid routine. Three levers? I only have two hands!

The bike started way easier under ALL conditons. People, try to be honest with yourselves. No decompression release? Sell that story to somebody else. Buy hey, if the bike starts as easy as you say it does, why shell out the extra dough? I can only speak from my own expereince of being a former YZ426 owner. I made sure to eat my Wheaties when I knew I was going to be giving that mutha a kick, or two, or three, etc.....
