Hello,

I'm new to this forum and just got a 01' YZF426.
I need to make the exhaust trail legal as cheaply as possible and am open to suggestions.

Does anyone know if a '02 WR400 exhaust will fit a '01 YZF426? If so, are there any concerns with this swap?

Thanks for any response!

I'm pretty sure they are a direct swap-over for that era. Another alternative is a ProMotoBillet spark arrestor end cap for about $99 I think.

Or the FMF Q if you want it to be quiet without killing the power.

Sorry for the late response.
I have not noticed any significant loss in power, but back firing is more freqent now when slowing down.
I understand that this type of back firing is usually due to an exhaust leak, but I used a brand new gasket and checked the exhaust system for leaks visually and found nothing...

Besides the back firing, I'm very happy with the WR can.
I don't race, so any loss in power and the added weight (almost doubled when holding each exhaust in hand) does not bother me.
