Hey guys
Well I just bought a 6 oz Zip ty flywheel weight off ebay, it's used so it comes with instructions, the weight, and the bolts, but it doesn't come with the drill or tap, does anyone know off hand what size hole to drill and what # tap to use? Also does it go on the inside of the flywheel plate or the outside? so will I have to pull the flywheel? thanks in advance

Jeff,

Bring it by and I can do it up for you...Do you have a puller to get it off so you don't have to bring the whole bike?

I have the whole kit in stock with new bolts.

Brian,
I don't have a flywheel puller, but I can just go and buy one, after the weight gets here I'll pull the FW and bring it by, thanks!

This is right off of the zip typ instructions

1/8" bit as pilot hole
17/64" as real hole

tap with a 8x1.25

It is easy if you drill and tap one hole at a time. Drill, tap, then screw in place.

If you try all four it is difficult to get the holes lined up.

If you screw up, rotate 90 degrees and try again.

The weight goe son the inside of the rotor. You need a flywheel puller (9.00 at th elocal discount shop) The "universal " model worked well on my 97.

An air wrench makes removing the flywheel nut easy. Otherwise, your going to need to swear a lot!
