Here we have the Carbon Up Armor clutch cover. I became intrigued with these covers when I say people beating the crap out of them in videos online. You can view some of those videos at their website. These covers were invented and built here in Utah where I live and ride, so that made me even more curious. One ride a couple of years back was cut short when my buddy Scott ripped a hole in his clutch cover on his two stroke at about 10K feet. Luckily it was a 2 stroke and he was able to ride it back to the truck. If we’d have had that happen to us on a 4 stroke, the motor would have been toast and we’d have had a major battle on our hands getting it back to the truck.
These covers should solve that issue. Yes, the covers run about $120, which isn’t cheap. On the other hand, if you can run this on your next 2-3 bikes over the next few years, I think that is pretty cheap insurance. This video shows the installation. I will have more feedback once I’m able to run them for a while. I am putting them on both of my bikes right now. The 2019 KTM 300 XC-W TPI, and the 2019 KTM 250 XC.
