In the video today I’m showing the Nihilo Concepts SOS Secondary back up starter switch.

This is insurance against breaking off your electric start switch from a crash or just branches pulling wires out. – I’ve seen this happen a few times on the trails.

You can do this on your own for less money by purchasing the OEM start switch and wiring it in, but this solution is plug and play and water proof. 

So time is saved at the expense of money.

Button and leads are waterproof

3M tape for easy install, although one of mine needs new tape already.

For me, I’ve got a 3 pronged approach to not having a kickstarter
– Make sure my battery has a capacitor so that it can bump start
– Make sure I’ve got a quality battery that can turn itself off (anti-gravity restart)
– Back up e start switch

Given the chances of e start failure where a kickstart would come into play, and the cost and complexity of adding a kickstart to my bike… I’m doing these 3 things instead of adding kickstarts. 

This is in part because I believe that KTM is only 1 motor mold change away from removing the option of ever having it.
