03 cr250 and 05 yzf450

I've been looking at two different bikes and I was wondering if anyone could recomened one over the other. I can get a 03 cr250 super clean bike with lots of hop up parts with tax and all for $3000 from a local dealer, or I was looking at a 05 yzf 450 from an other dealer thats only slightly used for $4500 If i talk down the asking price i think I can get it for $4800 after tax and things . My budget is about 3500 but I could get the rest of the cash together if it is a super deal and really woth it. It would be nice to get the 250 and have some cash left over for gear, but would I be better off getting the 05 450 for 1800 more? Any suggetions would be great.

Do you have gear now?

If not, the only option is the CR250.

my neighbour traded in his 250 for a YZF450 4 stroke. and that thing hauls pretty good. i'd suggest the 450. but it depends on how tall you are and how much you weigh etc. but i'd say the 450 for ONLY 1800 more.

Yeah the 450, that bike has a lot of power.
