I think 150 psi is normal for late model kdx's, not too sure about your year bike but I would say 160 is fine. I just checked mine before ripping it apart last night and it was 180 psi.

ok!

when i look at the compression tester its getting on the red bar around 110 and lower, i would understand that this is the normal range for any engine, but i'm sure someone got an exact answer.

thanx to yall

Kawasaki Answer!

I've found the answer in the manual.

And for the benefits of everyone i'll write right now.

- Before measuring compression, check that the cylinder head nuts are properly tightened and then thoroughly warm up the engine so that the engine oil between the piston and cylinder wall will help seal compression as it does during normal running. While engine is running, check that there is no gas leakage from around the spark plug ot the cylinder head gasket.
Stop the engine, remove spark plug, and install the compression gauge hose securely into the spark plug hole so that there will be no leakage. With the throttle fully open so that the air can flow freely to the engine, turn the engine over sharply with the kickstarter perdal several times until the compression gauge stop rising.
The compression is the highest reading obtainable.
Standard---1100-1300kpa or 11-13 kg/cm2 or 156-185psi
Usable range 840-1300 kpa or 8.4-13 kg/cm2 or 119-185psi
