1 5' 9" 170 pounds
2 im an aggresive rider
3 i ride a little mx and some trails
4 coming of a 2002 yz125 for 2 years
5 i will race but not anything to serious
6 i do all my work on my own bike except for suspension (send that out)
7 i am little bit partial to yamaha seeing that ive had no problems with the 125 and definetely wanna stick to a 2 stroke

Is your primary focus trails or mx? I'd think a 200 two-stroke (KTM or GasGas) might fit the bill. If not, the new YZ125 looks sweet and it's less than $6000US. The KTM and GasGas will be right arond the $6000 mark, maybe a bit more (not sure on US prices).

what will the main improvement be from the 2002 to the 2005 is my bike old enough to justify the price to upgrade. would the ktm 200 do good on the mx track? hows the suspension on that bike?

KTM used to make a 200SX (2003-2004, I believe, no 2005 model). I don't know much about the bike, to be honest. Is your primary focus the motocross track? If so, stick with a motocross bike. I really like my 200, it has more bottom end than a 125 yet it's light, handles well and the suspension is great. I plan on taking it to a motocross track once I get home in May and I'll see how it does there. I think you should try a test ride a few bikes (YZ125, KTM125 or KTM 200, etc) to see what you like.
