I got a 5 gallon jug, filled it up with the highest octane and then dumped 16 ounces of Belray SI-7 2stroke premix and the bike wouldn't turn over. So I went ahead and drained everything, took a gallon of the 40:1 gas and poored it into an empty container, I then added a gallon of the highest octane gas (no oil mixed in) to dillute it and the bike started right up.

Whats the deal? I was under the impression with synthetic oils 40:1 was the ratio to go by, but it seems as though this would be ~50:1? My bike is a Yamaha YZ250 (88).

Your problem has absolutely NOTHING to do with the ratio of oil you mixed at. You have another issue.

Turns out I just cant kick the bike over properly, while I was out riding everyone was able to kick it over fine. Guess I got some practice to do.
