Carb Adjustment

I just bought my son a 02 RN 85 and wanted tknow if the fuel air mixture screw is the bronze one and if 1 and a half turns out from all the way in is about right?? Thanks! :think:

its the one you say the little screw on the right botom of the carb. and you should take a look at the spark plug if its kinda black and wet, its too rich, of its white its to low, the normal colour should be coffee brownish. adjusting your carb takes kinda practice but if you search the web or so its well explained.

at the top of this section is a sticky called "jetting links" the details on how to adjust your jetting are there.

but yes 1-1/2 turns out is a good "STARTING" point to see if your in the neighborhood. if its stock pilot jet probably a little fat/rich.
