What is a good cleaning product to use to get the black off the white part of boots? I've tried simple green, citrus cleaners, comet and a few others and nothing has worked. Any one know of anything?

The black stuff is burnt, ground in dirt. The only way to get it out is to remove a layer of the plastic.

anyone heard of a product called dirt squirt? I just read on Sidis web site that this is what they recomend for cleaning the white plastic. Anyone tried it on boots? It's supposed to be a dirt and grease release agent.

try wd-40,and a soft brush, the wd-40 works wonders on by bike's white plastics. You wouldn't believe how well it works. mt firend buys it by the gallon and pourd it into a hand pump dispencer(more economical) and coates his bike with it. The dirt just washes off after a ride. he has a '99 that looks like a showroom model. It gets riddenevery sunday. Everyone at the teacks is amazed how clean it is.

I use soft scrub (the stuff you clean the sink with) on my white YZ airbox to get off the black from the boots. Read that in a magazine once... works good.
