Hello Everyone,

I have a 73 dt3 and I'm still trying to replace the connecting rod. I have found all the parts I need for a rebuild But, the
connecting rod is very elusive. Yammadog, com had some and by the time I made up my mind to pay the price ($135.00) they were gone.
I have found one for a dt2. Does anyone know if the rods in the dt3 and dt2 are the same?? They are both 250's and it would make sense for carryover parts to be used.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. I am one part away
from getting this bike on the trail.

Thanks in advance

no luck yet

Thanks for the tip. I went to the sight. The best they could do
was send me a catalog so that I could try and match one up.
I may give this a try. Thanks

THREADLOCK.

Their catalog is great. They show the spec's for just about any rod you may need. They are a great company to do business with.

Good luck.

More info

I'm looking forward to getting the catalog. I just got the crank seperated so that I can measure the rod. I'm hoping that I can
match something up.
I also found out that the DT1 & DT2 have the same rod. Also,
the 68 thru 71 enduros are all the same. This may open up my search.
I met a guy yesterday that is very into vintage 70's bikes. He actually has about 80 in a barn. 95% don't run, but there is alot of parts. He said he likes collecting more than rebuilding. We're going to hit a few of his favorite junkyards to find a used crank. This should be fun.
