CRF450F Frame Cracks

By the way, I was at the track this weekend and
I saw yet *another* CRF450F with the same
little welded up crack in the frame. That's like,
the third one I've seen.

If you curl your finger up behind the frame spar
just behind the carburetor, you'll find a void, or
a hollow place. It's just under where the side
spar comes down from the front and welds to
the bottom. That's where each of the three of
them had cracked and been welded.

Anyone else seen bike's with that same cracking?

Next time I see one, I'll take a picture and post
it here!

dont be, all bikes crack frames. kawas used to be the worst, my friend always rode kawas and the golden rule is "dont powder coat the KX, since you wont be able to tell the frame is cracked"

right now, there are a LOT of CRF 450s out there without cracked frames :thumb:
