My KDX220 is finally five years old so I have to take it through emissions this year to re-up the license. ( I made it street legal in AZ years ago) Anybody have any thoughts on how to make it pass without leaning it out so much that I melt the motor down?
Using a heavily oxygenated race fuel will add some oxygen and minimize the amount of unburned fuel that passes through the engine, so the CO and HC reading should be lower.
Track Tech 101, and VP MR3 and a few others should help.
Higher water temps will also help minimize HC emisions.
