I got my 2005 YZ144 motor back from Eric last week. My son and I went riding yesterday to break it in. All I can say is WOW. My last 2 stroke was a KTM 200EXC. I loved the motor on this bike. It had decent low to mid with a power band that didn't wear you out. On the YZ I opted for Eric's mo better porting and installed an FMF Fatty with the Q spark arrestor. I absolutley love this new motor. I could easily pull a higher gear and it was much easier to ride on the trail. I didn't lose any top end but the improvement in the low and mid is fantastic. It's still not the power band from my 200, but it is a lot closer. Add in the light weight, great handling and suspension and this is in a close tie for my favorite bike with my '05 CRF450R. I can't help but think that this would be very competitive against 250F's on the MX track. Thanks to Eric Gorr for the quick turn around and great work. Not to mention his prices are very very reasonable.
