How long should break fluid last?

I just changed my brake fluid and am not sure how long I should go before changing it? It was still just like new from what I could see, but I did it anyway and used Honda brake fluid. I just want to keep the brakes in good working order, so can someone please tell me how long it lasts?

From what I understand brake fluid could last indefinatly. That is untill it becomes contaminated. Most brake fluid is hydroscopic (it absorbs water). Once this happens the fluid will boil easily, creating air in the fluid and spongy brakes.

Once a year should be fine for most people. If you maintain your bike like it is a factory ride or you ride alot, change it every six months.
