kdx 250 overbore?

I'm thinking of over boring my '91 kdx 250. it needs a new piston.,(overheated),but the cyl. sleeve looks good. Ive allready mirror polished the intake/exuast ports& port matched.
I'm also thinking of using a kx head gasket (thinner).
Any one w/ advice on this subject?

3.2 I know Eric Gorr does a 265 kit for KXs of the same era so I'm sure he'll be able to do the same for your bike given the engine is based on a KX unit. He also does a 301cc kit for KX owner but I believe the cut off for that one is 93+ KX250s? Give Eric a call and he'll be able to give you the run down and answer any of your questions.
