I just did a total rebuild of my 2000 KX 125 including low end portig by Mr. Gorr. After 3 heat/cool cycles I did a compression test. I got 145 psi at 1800 ft elevation (I live in New England in the mountains). Is 145 acceptable at this elevation? My manual says 125-190 psi is the range, but I assume that is at sea level. This was my first topend on my own and I want to make sure it is ok before I rally ride the old girl. I am trying to etablish a base line to keep track of engine condition. Thank you in advance.

That seems a little low. But I am here in texas and dont know about the difference in elevation. I have about 150-155 in mine and I going to be doing a top end here in a couple of weeks.

Many things can enter in to the compression reading. I just did a 125 top end and my reading was 160lbs. The reading prior to the change was at 150 lbs for a long time, then it slowly started to decline. When I got about 135 lbs. I changed.
145 lbs does seem a bit low for a new top(not that it isn't ok though), did you check the ring-end gap before mounting?
