I clean my filter in a bowl with kerosene and then in the sink with Dawn and hot water. Then I rinse it good and let it dry out before I oil it up. I use Bel-Ray filter oil but there are a lot of good choices out there. Many swear by AMSOIL which is biodegradeable. I also let the filter sit for a day after I've oiled it before starting the bike - to let some of the oil evaporate. After I oil my filter, I squeeze out the excess using a paper towel. I don't try to squeeze out all of the oil, just what comes out easily.

Keeping the air filter clean and oiled and changing the gear oil frequently are the most important tasks for keeping your bike in good shape.

Use www.buykawasaki.com for the Kawasaki parts fiche.
