kx250 forks have 125J stamped on botttom

is this normal? I pulled the forks and shock off my 92 kx250 to have them revalved and rebuilt, and noticed at the bottom of the forks was a stamp that read 125J.

Well, my model is a 250J. So should I be concerned, or am I wrong in thinking the 125J on the forks means they are off a 125?

if they are from a 125, I plan on getting forks from a 250. I guess I will have to research what triple clamp will fit in a 92 frame - as finding 92 forks will prob be difficult.

I also could bore the triple clamp to accept newer forks... maybe..

any suggestions??

turns out the racetech site says the forks from the 125 and 250 are the same... 43mm upsidedown.

oh well, no worring anylonger.

If you have two 125 forks, that equals 250. :)

the forks are the same on the 125 and 250, you'll be fine.
