A Dremmel tool, a drill and a heat guncan help but if something just isn't even close it will look cobbled. I have a KX fender on my XR284 (well I catually have KX125 fork assy as well so the fender bolts to the triple clamp no problem but the frnder hit the head pipe on the XR chassis. I shortened the rear of the fender and heated it to clear the down-tube and you'd never know. Doing something similar to my son's CR125 except fitting the newer model side shrouds involves a newer model fuel tank which I got off of Ebay and then fabricatin a couple little aluminum tabs to reposition the lower mounting points. My best suggestion is think it out first.
