ya im new to this type of chatting here . i am from idaho and have ridn for a long time but may have just bitten off more than i can chew with my new purchase. i live on a strict budget and found a 1990 kx500 which the guy put a new engine in it 2 years ago and rode it 2 times and then got scared on it . he then parked it and it sat for 2 years until i found it and bought is for 900 dollars and cleaned it up then took it out for the first time and never ridn anything this brutal in my entire life . i have ridn bullet bikes and other 2 strokes but nothing like this. i would like to talk to people about this and learn more on the techniques of ridn this beast.

Welcome to DRN :)

Check out the Riding/Training Techniques - Injuries forum for tips on riding the beast.

I have heard they are great bikes, but never had a chance to throw a leg over one.
