They don't give a rats pattooty about what the law says because they write the ticket under Federal Law so you have to go to Federal Court. From what I read, it is almost impossible to fight the violations in Federal Court. The step up in enforcement by the County may not be on plastic gas tanks as there appears to be no law in the State that prohibits those BUT sounds like they will be focusing on making sure that ALL the rest of the equipment required of street bikes is in place and functioning properly.
