No Top End

[B-Rad]

I WAs out riding my bike one the track and everything was running great, but then all of a sudden i heard this weird rattling noise and now my bike has no top end. I can start it but as soon as the powerband should kick in there is nothing.
I assume I need to replace the top end, but I am not sure. I would think the weird rattling noise was coming from the piston but not sure. Any help would be great.
