You do realize that boring it by that amount will do little more than remove the plating that forms the wear surface of the cylinder, that the piston and rings slide upon. The gains will be minimal at best, and the cost will be very high, as you would have to replate the cylinder so that it will last. If you want an overbore, then get it done right so you actually see some gains for the money. Otherwise, freshen up the crosshatch with a scotchbrite and throw some fresh rings in (and piston if needed) and leave it at the stock bore diameter. Your wallet will thank you , as this is your cheapest option.
yes, absolutly, i would just get it replated, I just did my cr 125 , i was running a D piston in it and millennium technologies , replated it back to std bore it is like brand new i was amazed and my cr is old 91' price for the plating is $160 and well worth it , a bore job is around 50-75 bucks and then plating. good luck but they are the best deal and a quality job.
