Tink: I would plan on coming directly to Moonrocks unless you are expecting to be tired from the trip up. We will be riding until about 5:00 or so and then we go back into town and get cleaned up for dinner. Stick will hook us up with a nice place to eat and we all head to the bar or the casino after that. It all starts again on Saturday morning about 7:00 with a trip to the restaurant for breakfast. We will be easy to find at Moonrocks as there will be a large trailer with a bunch of bikes around it and Red's truck with Illinois plates and my red trailer and my white GMC with Texas plates next to it. We were at the end of the parking area last year. Directions: Assuming you are coming from California on I80 ... Take I80 until you get to Reno proper Take 395 north (left) right in the middle of town. It was all under construction last year so they might have moved things around a bit. Exit Hwy 455 / McCarran Boulevard and head east (right). The exit is a little over a mile north of I80. Hwy 445 will meander over a few hills until it hits Pyramid Way. Hwy 455 will head north out of Reno. Take it. It is about 15 miles out Hwy 455 to Winnemucca Road. Turn left at the Y onto Winnemucca Road (there was a sign there last year). It is just over the crest of a hill and is one of the first roads to the left that you can take after passing the housing developments. Follow Winnemucca Road about 6 miles and you will see a road heading off up into the hills on the left just past the end of a cultivated field. You can see the top of the rocks if you know where to look. There was a sign there last year, but I can't remember what it said. Turn left and come up to the parking area which is on your right. Come on up the hill and we will be at the far end. If you want you can go straight on I80 until you hit Pyramid Way and turn left (north) under the bridge. It is 2 or so miles until you connect with Hwy 455 then pick up at that point above. Hopefully this link will work. It is the intersection of 455 and Winnemucca Road. See ya soon!!!!! :yeehaw:
